Spotify gives you the opportunity to search for and listen to music on your computer. Their catalogue contains millions of songs, which makes it easy to find music you never heard before. The music can not be downloaded; you have to be online when you listen.
The service is available in two different versions, one where you have to be invited and one where you pay for your membership. The free version is financed by commercial income.
